"BiFan Daily" Interviews My Son and I About Covering the Korean Film Fest Together

The daily publication for South Korea's Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BiFan) interviewed my son Cohen and I about covering the fest together as a father-and-son film reviewing team. Cohen and I write about BiFan together for Phantom of the Movies' VideoScope magazine, and he has written solo essays about the fest before for propellermag.com. I also do solo BiFan coverage for Gruesome Magazine and have done podcast reports about it for Horror News Radio.

I'm extremely proud of my son and am thrilled to have the chance to write with him whenever we can!

You can read the interview by scrolling down to page 13 at http://www.bifan.kr/newsletter/edaily/BIFAN2017_WEB_Daily_170720.pdf.

Film Festival Season is Underway and I'm On the Case!

Although I am no fan of the summer humidity and monsoon season here in South Korea, I do love this time of year because of the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BiFan), Asia's largest genre film fest. I have been attending BiFan since 2008 as a moviegoer and 2011 as a journalist, and the fest is my favorite of the ones that I have attended. Here's my Gruesome Magazine article about the 10 BiFan films to which I'm most looking forward:

http://gruesomemagazine.com/2017/07/12/21st-bucheon-international-fantastic-film-festival-top-10-anticipated-films/

I plan on writing an overview article about BiFan for Phantom of the Movies' VideoScope magazine, along with individual reviews for http://gruesomemagazine.com/, https://diaboliquemagazine.com/, and http://www.screamhorrormag.com/.

I'm also covering the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal for VideoScope in an overview article that will barely scratch the surface of all of the amazing films being screened there.

Another great-looking festival is Florida's Popcorn Frights, which I will cover in VideoScope, too.

Somehow, with all this film watching and writing taking place, I will also squeeze in time to co-host my Decades of Horror: The Classic Era and Uphill Both Ways podcasts. Please give us a listen if you haven't already done so!

Thanks, as always, for reading and listening to my work! I truly appreciate it.
